What is Home Care?

Home care or domiciliary care is a service, or rather, the package of services provided which supports an individual to remain within the comfort of their own home. After all, we spend our lives building a home, we too wish to remain at home for as long as possible!

 

Domiciliary care is for anyone who needs some extra help and support to remain at home, with tasks such as personal care, medication management or general day-to-day tasks. We offer packages of care ranging from 30 minutes per week to multiple visits per day. There is no one size fits all in domiciliary care, it's individual to you and your loved ones.

Filey Home Care provide care services between 07:00-21:00 for those who require assistance 24 hours a day, or more specialist care, an alternative may be necessary, if after an assessment of needs we believe that live in care or residential care may be better suited to your needs we will do our best to assist you in finding an alternative.

The cost of domiciliary care through Filey Home Care is simple, it's a set hourly rate. There are no set up fees, no hidden costs. We can also talk you through funding options which may be available to you through the local authority. As well as some common benefits such as Attendance allowance and Disability allowance (or Personal Independence Payment - often referred to as PIP)
