Care in the home

Home Care or Domiciliary Care
Also known as

If you feel that you or your loved one are able to remain at home living independently but require a level of support to be able to do so, maybe following a stay in hospital or a loss of confidence following a fall or you just feel that you would like another pair of hands to help you to keep on top of things or provide that feeling of having someone there, then home care may be for you!

The first step is contacting us, we will help you to ensure that we are able to offer the level of care you feel is necessary.

The next step is to get together and for you to meet one of our dedicated care team.

This meeting builds on any earlier discussions and will look at clarifying the level of support required and for you to set your expectations.

What we then do is prepare your individual care plan. This document will detail all of your needs, from medication to mobility, issues and your preferred routines. With the flexibility to constantly evolve, this forms the cornerstone of your service.

Our professional care team works within the local area and so there is a strong likelihood that they are already supporting somebody in your town or village already.

Call us today for an informal chat about our care at home service and how we can support you or your loved one on a regular basis.

Personal Care is a bit of an umbrella term, we use the phrase personal care to cover a wide range of services.

It covers tasks such as bathing or showering, drying and dressing, assistance with changing of continence pads, application of topical creams and medications and tasks such as grooming/shaving the face, tending to hair and nails etc.

The amount of support needed will depend entirely on the individual and a care plan details each task requiring support, with the level of assistance required with each task noted to ensure that individuals remain as independent as capable.

Companionship is also used to cover a wide range of tasks, it is not simply someone to sit with and have a cup of tea with, though it could be! It covers everything, from someone to accompany you or a loved one to the shops, out for the day, to an appointment or to get some fresh air and exercise on a nice walk.

We can tailor a care package to suit your needs, with Filey Home Care, you are in control.
